Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam

For those early risers Stuart, Bernd, Dave and I are going round Manly Dam...this is a medium paced ride...I think!!!
It is also Stuarts birthday so any one who comes needs to be prepared to sing!!! However, he says he isn't showing if it's raining.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
The Oaks
Meeting Point:

Glenbrook carpark-opposite train station

Due to some requests this ride is now happening on Anzac day.
The plan is catch the train to Wentworth Falls, ride the Anderson fire trail back to Woodford, then travel about 4km down the Oaks fire trail & turn off onto the St Helenas track following it all the way back to Glenbrook. Should work out around 60km I hope.
This is mostly fast fire trail with the usual ups & downs you expect in the mountains, until the start of the St Helenas track, I havent riden the St Helenas track so this part will be a bit of an exploration.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Meeting Point:

End of Glenraphael Dr. Corner with Cliff Dr, Katoomba. Although we might do well to then drive 2.5Kms down the trail to the locked gate and start the ride proper there.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

And now for something completely different...

Given the amount of training going on at the mo (for the impending pain, that is the Dirtworks) couldn't really justify another day away. However, if one takes the GF along then all is good Smiling

Therefore, the other options discussed, for me at least, have been binned. I believe Sam, Shano and I (each with their trainee MTB'er in tow) are starters, but anyone else, who'd like to bring their better half along on a ride is welcome. Just be aware this will be slooooow.

Saturday 21st - Local Northern Beaches ride

When:
Saturday, 21 April, 2007 - 08:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Oxford Falls (Morgan Road)

Didn't see a local ride posted for Saturday morning for those not doing the longer great north ride so thought to put one up to see what people would be up for.
Ride would be 20K+ at a medium pace. Stops as required by the make up of the group. Technical is ok.

If anyone has a particular ride they want to do please suggest it.

I'll start with Oxford Falls.

I was wondering if anybody is interested in repeating this awesome Red Hill Practice Day you guys are reving about?? Smiling

I know it is a bit early but I because I really, really, really want to be there this time, how about Sunday the 13th of May??

It is the weekend after the dirtworks so perfect for a bit of a play Smiling?

What do you think Evan, this is your baby really but I thought a suggestion won't hurt?

Also I can't watch the videos, I guess Wondows 98 is just a tiny bit too old, so I really have to see guys live to believ all the stories!!

Anyone lost a multi-tool on the Manly Dam?

I was out on the Dam this morning about 6:30 and picked up a multi-tool that somebody had dropped. Was it you? If so then let me know the make and model. This will no doubt be an excellent excuse for me to finally join you lot for a ride.

Also, is it me or is it always more of a struggle to get around the dam early in the morning? Any tips?
