Cars Broken Into & Vandalised At Ourimbah MTb

Hi guys,
I've just received a phone call from a mate and I wanted to pass it on to give you all a heads up......yesterday morning (Fri 23 Jan) my mates car & several others were broken into at Ourimbah Mtb .....bricks were thrown through the windows to gain entry once inside they ransacked & smashed up the interiors even damaged the 2 horse floats parked there....I have parked at the track for years throughout the week without a problem, I'll be having second thoughts from now on.

Cheers
Fred

Manly Dam update for 23 Jan

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

All good, a few little puddles here and there but the single track is dry. Possum and Gahnia are dry too.

I also cleared about 8053 spider webs - it's a pleasure.

Do you have more information?

Terrey Hills update for 22 Jan

Status:
Green/Open

Rode Perimeter Trail today from Jap school and onto Long Track. A couple of large puddles that you can ride around by widening the track (Nooooooooo hawkeye, only kidding - no large puddles). Even the two creeks are almost dry. Reckon first part of Perimeter from Nerang Ave would be pretty messy for a few more days - avoidance recommended.

Manly ride

Hi all, wanting to go for a ride this weekend at Manly, have done manly dam twice but just the loop. Would like to check out the extended loop (possums etc?) but no idea where this is (other than across wakehurst parkway), and would like to take in gahnia and serrata as well. What would be the most logical way to do this, anyone done a similar ride and have it mapped on strava? Or if anyone wants to do a ride on Sunday or Monday this weekend then happy to be shown around!

cheers
Ben

Turros Heads NSW (near Batemans Bay)

Guys thinking of camping down there and was wondering if anyone had any experience of good mtb trails in the vicinity. There's plenty of family oriented stuff but struggling to find anything proper.

Bantry Bay update for 21 Jan

Area:
Bantry Bay
Status:
Green/Open

Only rode Serrata & it's very dry (surprisingly). Just 1 or 2 small puddles at the top of the fire trail for ride out.
At a guess, I'd say Gahnia is very dry too.
Enjoy Smiling

Hazelbrook - Blue Mtns

Hi can anyone tell me where the entry point to the single track section in Hazelbrook is? Is it fairly easy to find one's way around without getting too lost? Is the trail in good condition?

I've seen the section down to the dam, which I think is another ride.

I've got a group of varied ability teenagers going with me and wanted to pick a trail up there that would be a good all round trail and some fun.

Apparently there is also a bike hire place nearby, anyone know the name of it?

Cheers
