Cromer Golf Course
The recent discussions about the legallity of riding the Bantry bay track got me thinking about other tracks that are well riden.
Does anyone know if the Cromer Golf Club has any objections to us ridng on their land when we do the loop around Narrabeen Lakes?

Day 2, not looking that pretty
Not that I ever did.
Generally feeling very sore all over, glad now I did ride out and not bum a lift of the ranger, would be alot worse today if stopped there and then. So heres the run down
Right knee not that badly off actually. Most of the redness has gone from around the graze. Think I got most of the dirt out.
Left knee, hmm, worse than I thought yesterday. Bruising on the outside is going to be big, but not as big as the inside of the thigh. Save on pics at the moment, the bruising won't show through that forest I have growing on my legs.
Right shoulder, well the open sore is still weeping. This was directly ontop of my fall at Oxford Falls a while back so I expect will take a little longer to heal. Shoulders and neck relatively stiff, maybe I hit my head harder than I thought.

Careflight Classic Anyone?
I was talking with a friend about last weekend's speed run down The Oaks and he suggested we might like to do the Careflight Woodford to Glenbrook Classic.
Now - in the past I've said, "Bloody hell - $35 to ride down a trail I can do anytime!". But, since then have attended a few events and realise that the fun of the day is something not to be missed. I've also seen people flown off even fire trail - and anyone that saw Sunday's 60 Minutes story about Boy Wonder will realise what a critical role choppers funded by these sorts of events play.
The actual route is from Woodford station to Euroka near Glenbrook, and it's scheduled for Sunday June 24.
Anyone want to make a team (no limit on numbers, first two home decide the team time)? Or just go solo?
Entry forms are here for those who are tempted.

Whats the fun 10min loop called at Manly Dam?
Weve recently been doing laps of the fun 10min loop on the otherside of the Wakehurst Parkway.
We have been calling it the Nuerburg ring up till now..
Nice technical riding, Great at night.

I call this my "Why Hand Photo"
Swelling to the back of the hand doesn't show too well here. So why the "Why" photo.
This is "Why" you should make a fist when you fall and not spread out your fingers and use your hand to "break" your fall.
This is "Why" I ride in long finger gloves and keep my nails short, the nail on the middle finger is slightly lifted, seperating from the skin underneath a little. Don't want to think how it would look if I didn't have them covered in.
This is "Why" you shouldn't grab your front break when the other hand is off the bars.
This is "Why" you shouldn't ride with rings on, how the f%$k do I get it off now?

Dam Dogs
Posted this over on 26 Inches, but thought you gys all being locals thought might stick it up here too.
At Manly Dam yesterday, riding up the fire road next to the pipe yesterday, pass a couple walking two large dogs off their leads. One of the dogs, a friken Doberman, walks right in front of me so I have to turn to avoid it ( not going that fast as it was still uphill).
Suddenly the dog goes berserk and starts running after me, barking. Then it bit me on the leg. Stoked. Lucky I had pads on. I stopped and got off my bike so that it was between me and the dog. The guy comes running over yelling at it and the dog runs off.
