Easter Social Ride
Hello!
When I joined NobMob Justin used to organise beginners/social/newbies/lurkers rides at Terrey Hills
Since he hasn't posted one for AGES I was wondering if any newbies/lurkers/beginners or other people feeling social fancied doing a ride one day over the Easter weekend? Starting about 8.30 from the shops...any day is fine by me
If you haven't been out with us yet but have joined it's a good time to get out and meet some people...gotta do it sometime...!!!
If you do come make sure you have water and a breakfast bar - anything else I am sure the others will suggest!!

Lisdale State Forest (shorter pre-ride for the really keen)

Turn into 'Forest Ridge Drive' and stop after 50m or so at the first intersection. This is a couple of km past Lithgow.

The Massive Northern Beaches Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Jamieson Park, off The Esplanade on the southern shore of Narrabeen Lake. There is a BBQ area there.
Riding from Narrabeen Lake, heading generally west through Oxford Falls, Red Hill, over to Terrey Hills, and all the way back. We may alter the order a bit on the day, depending on logistics and personal preference. And we will probably need to stop somewhere convenient to get more water too.
This was originally discussed here:

Hope to see you there on the 14th! This will be massive!
Thanks,
Liam.

Races
Hi
Where can I find out about doing some XC races? Does anyone else go in them on a regular basis?

Great North Road "updated" Saturday 21st April
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Wisemans Ferry. Meet on this side of the ferry, ie don't cross over the ferry, park near little shop close to the ferry crossing.
As discussed here:
Meet at 8.30am for 9am departure. Please confirm your attendance. We'll take the ferry over with bikes so when it's there and we all are will be off.

Hydration Packs
Hi.
Having just killed 3 bottles and 2 cages in the last week, I've decided to have a look at getting a hydration pack. I've ordered a 1.5L one from Torpedo7, and am waiting for it to turn up in time for Easter.
Just wondering what type and size packs other people are using. What they like, dislike about them. Favourite brands, wear and tear etc.

Dirtworks camping
I'll be camping at the 'works and it sure would be noice if we could rustle up a posse roun the camp-fire to eat beans and tell tall tales.
Any ol timers been an' done this previous like, send a smoke signal 'bout the wagon train arrangements (ie. if there's any chance of getting close camping spots and when you have to turn up to do so etc.)
(doffs stetson and falls over his own spurs)
Ta,
Matt.

Berowra Valley
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Anyone welcome,
Start time is flexible 4-5pm
I would especially encourage anyone who has not ridden this trail or loves to climb hills to join in.
The pace is going to be moderately easy, given that their is some serious longer hills both ways.
I am recovering from injury to the knee so I will be setting a relaxed pace, granny on all hills!
Having ridden this trail many times and it makes for excellent fitness training whether you want it or not, I can also point out some other trails which link up with this one and makes for tougher riding.

WWS round 3 (8hr) 15th April - Anyone doing this?
By the sounds of it round two was a mudwrestle... Is anyone going for round 3 and fancy either teaming up or just meeting up for it? I've not done an 8-hr before but I'm pretty keen to give it a go.
