To complement my Convict 100 training consisting of intervals on the road and exercise bikes, hill reps and other unpleasant things, I‘m trying to get out on several long distance rides before the race, and would like to reward myself by going through some nice country and ride in new places.

I'm back in Australia now and recovering well. I had the dressing changed today and I got a good look of the damage that was done on the Stage 4 crash

I've also got my hands on the X-Rays taken and just how far the rock got embedded. They had to get an Orthopaedic Surgeon to remove it as they classed it having bone involvement and you'll see what they mean by that

Brian is back in Oz now and on his way to recovery. I am on my way down to Port Elizabeth along the Garden Route, to eat relax and spend some time with the family.
