Internal Rim Widths and Tyre Size
Happy New Year to anyone who reads this:)
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on internal rim widths and tyre size selection?
I'm currently running 2.3" tyres on rims with a 29mm internal width and while I'm generally happy with the setup the tyre profile is quite square (even at low PSI) which makes the tyres feel like they don't grip up straight away when cornering, if that makes sense (could be my crappy riding skills have something to do with it as well).

Specialized Fuse Expert 27.5+, with 1x11 XT upgrade (XT Shadow plus, 30 chain ring ring and 11-46 cassette) Upgraded to SLX brakes. Will include the original hardly used SRAM GX derailleur, 1x 10 cassette and Avid Brakes. Bike cost $3,000 in June 2016 + upgrades $500. Only +- 4hours fire trail riding since new. Lane Cove National Park update for 31 Dec
Did my usual De Burgh's Bridge / Yanco Rd firetrail / Gloucester Ave / Browns Waterhole / Devlins Ck route. All good. Nice traffic line in many places making it more fun to ride fast.

Wildflower Garden update for 27 Dec
All good. Looks like some more work to come on the Nursery section, as there are multiple ANL bulker bags dropped on the side of MV Rd. Horse track is fine and looks like construction work on the gun club is in abeyance for a few days. Some of the grass up towards the power line towers is starting to obscure the track, but if you know where it is no problems. Muppets is OK, but the tree leaning over the clockwise downhill is getting lower and harder to get under.

Manly Dam update for 27 Dec
Did a coupla laps around the classic Dam circuit today. Apart from being too hot (32C - shoulda left earlier) the trail is dry and rideable.
It's quite eroded in a lot of places, showing the impact of Council's more laissez-faire approach to closing the trail in wet conditions.
Desperately needs some TLC in a few spots.
Lots of water dragons about near the children's playground at Allambie.

Glasses found at Mt Narra
Found a pair of glasses at Mt Narra today (24.12.16). If yours send a message with description and I'll handover to Santa or we can make alternate arrangements to return.

All good around the dam, possums and KC. Just watch out at the bottom of the gap jump track next to wakehurst parkway as their is a tree trunk across the path
