Awaba State Forest update for 01 Apr
This is from the offical hmba website;
Start: 31/03/2012
Although the XC Trail is still not in pristine condition, the fine weather has helped dry things out to the point that further damage to the trail should not occur with riders on it.
Please be aware that no repairs have been conducted as yet, thus some sections may be rougher than expected.
We are planning some trail work soon in areas that have been deemed unsustainable in future rain events. Keep a look out for here for the working bee days and come along and spread the load.
With this exciting news I rushed out there this morning to try my look. Whilst the majority of the trail is dry (though still damp in some sections) there has been substantial damage to the trail. Numerous ruts have formed pretty much throughout making the unwary vulnerable to a big stack.
I have marked this trail amber due to these reasons and because the section just before the veggie patch is a mess with plenty of deep and slippery mud sections and salad bowl hasn't faired much better.
Needs a lot of TLC will be looking to help out on the upcoming working bee days

Donwhill Easter
Hi there,
I am a 25 year old Aussie/South American living in sydney, I have a 4wd that can carry 3 bikes. Im planning a roadtrip departing from sydney 4-5th and returning the 9-10th of april. The idea will be to visit Downhill tracks across NSW.
If you got a DH/dirtjumper bike and are interested contact me and we can plan out the trip logistics over a few beers.
Cheers
Max
