McCarrs Race Track
A lot of us here spend time at Terry hills and either riding it or driving it to get to a ride....Mccarrs Creek Road. Since the resurface it's attracting unwanted attention.
Beware out there for M/bikes, Hoons and now expect Highway Patrol
Newby friendly Perimeter + Long (Terry Hills)
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
This is a reprise of the ride held last weekend that I couldn't make. It will be a straightforward non-technical ride, and suitable for those wishing to introduce a friend to the sport.
The ride will be slow and social. I haven't ridden this trail previously, so we can go exploring together. The length of the out-and-back is about 22km, so probably not suitable for really young children.
Weather Plan:
If it turns out to be unbearably hot we will postpone to a 5pm start so as not to stress the junior riders.
If steady or heavy rain or slushy conditions we will defer one week

For the last 10 years the Kiwis (!) organised a fantastic "Moonride Festival"...

I'm gauging interest for a similar event - here in the beautiful nightlife of the Kuringai/Garigal woods...(we can start small - the kiwis limit theirs now to 390 TEAMS...)

Ride at 2pm today: Sunday 10th Feb (Terry Hills / Cascades) ?
Anybody up for a ride at 2pm today around Terry Hills, Belrose, St. Ives ? 2-3 hours, social pace. Missed the ride at 6.30am this morning and was surprised by the blue sky. Hope it lasts till then.

Anembo Junction
Curling round to the left is shorest route back to the fire station. To the right where the bikes are is that short cut across the circuit and out of shot (to the camera's left) is the supposed route to Bibbenluke.
Fire trail. Not technical, but one of the best views at the end of the Long Trail. Some more challenging climbs to be had on the options south of Booralie Road.
