An interesting article. Is this just in reference to the general NPWS mountain biking policy that has been going on for the last year, or has something new popped up? I thought you could ride the trails at Yellomundee whenever you wanted?

My favourite quote- "Mountain biking, I think, is the new millennium’s bushwalkers. It’s for today’s cash-rich, time-poor people." Shhhh, don't tell the missus. She thinks I'm a lowly government employee.

North Turramurra
Exact Distance:
0.78Km

Its a loop but best place to start is probably on the firetrail in front of the pump track. Finish is where you started.
Must follow the flow track around the pump track. Must ride the single track up the hill, Not allowed to use the firetrail for a short cut.

No Short cutting!!! That includes the last two corners at the top.

Easy Flow track good for practicing a variety of Mountain Bike skills. Some examples are cornering and balance.

Knapsack Reserve Dirt Jumps (Lennox Bridge Jumps)

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hey guys, i have recently been to these jumps located just off olivet street, and i noticed how large they are in size. I can personally jump these, but i know that beginners are often discouraged, and will not fully make use of this interim dirt jump site. It would be great if some of the original jumps could be reduced in size, or made as tabletops, or maybe other smaller jumps could be built in this area. I would gladly help with any issues regarding these trails and there development, either it be a dig day or whatever.
Thanks, csrides.

Hazard Reduction smoke

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

To any who are considering riding in the mid mountains this weekend, especially Winmalee, Yellomundee etc, there are 2 hazard reduction burns taking place at Wheeny Gap and the Vale of Avoca, which are dumping loads of smok into the area.

From our back deck looking out towards Springwood Ridge and Grose Head South is as hazy as I've seen it in a long time. It stinks.

Besides that, get fair up it!
