Winmalee
Meeting Point:

Behind the nursery on Hawkesbury road.

BM Epic and myself are heading out for a ride round Winmalee Fri afternoon/evening if anyone wants to join in.
Lights may be required for the end depending on how long we ride for.
Starting behind the nursery on Hawkesbury rd we'll head down the grotto to ride the freshly conditioned track then either through Bluegum or along Shaws Ridge. Next we take on the beast that is Bee's Nest (I made it up last week so I need a repeat to show it wasn't a fluke). We'll take a breather at the lookout then cruise back along Springwood Ridge with a couple of drops along the way.
See you there.

Has anybody ridden it lately ... is it an overgrown mess ... with large sections of graded sand pits at the start.

Is the exit easier to follow ... Its been a while since I've ridden it ... last time with Joey and Rod. Thought I'd start thinking about a revisit.

Cracked 23min

Interesting conditions on the loop today. Dry, loose and dusty on Shaw's Ridge - hard to maintain speed and flow. A fair few rock out of place from people not following the line down the decent into Bluegum - had a heart in mouth moment when the rear almost overtook me at nearly 50km/hr and I endo'd for a fair while. Bluegum still swampy in spots but fairly fast other than that.
Happy to go deep into the 23's. Time to start on the double loop.

Knapsack Reserve update for 03 Apr

Status:
Green/Open

Did a classic scribbling lap around Knapsack this afternoon. Lots of walkers(many with dogs) and riders out enjoying the great weather.

All looks okay with the track. The gate on Barnett St was unlocked which allowed various cars and FWD vehicles access to Lovers Walk and the lookouts.

Spotted this Bearded Dragon sunning itself on a log behind the soccer park.

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

Meeting Point:

End of White Cross Rd, Winmalee, NSW. There's a small parking area here but it's a standard suburban street so overflow isn't a problem.

OK, just to change things up a bit, we will meet at the end of whitecross at 5pm and do a little technical riding as a warm up, then do a flying half lap of blue gum followed by the torture of bees nest for the climbers, a quick trip to the lookout followed by a nice cruise along the ridge until we get to the grotto descent, then head down said descent until we reach the next technical challenge of the rock drop off, then onwards and downwards for a fun smash along the grotto single and climb back up and out, we will try and allow enough time for sessioning the techy areas, if not enough time
