WInmalee Fri evening

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

A few extra's turned up this afternoon, which was good. 5 of us set out with a nice run through the sniggle. A quick chat with the Vicar of WInmalee, then down the Grotto for some brake burning action. A nice flowy run through the swamp, then the challenge. Up Bee's Nest. Jason makes it look easy, but noone else cleared it in one hit. A quick breather at the top, on to the lookout for another breather, then an easy cruise back along S/wood ridge. Another run through the sniggle, then it was all over. Beat the storm by about 10 minutes.
Nice way to finish the week. Thanks guys.
Ian

If MUNI was not enough, I have now finally gotten the whole family into riding. Somehow with me at the helm I think I got the raw end of the deal. Second seat for wife, third for 6 year old daughter and trailer for 4 yo.

Mitchells Pass Riders BEWARE DANGER!!!

All,

I just went for a lap of Mitchells Pass to discover that the two big boulders have been moved to the side of the road, but just pass them (~20m) where the road opens up at Garry Payne corner, steel gates have been placed across the road. Although there was only one gate being cemented in today it wont be long before the second appears.

Spread the word as this is a dangerous issue for riders coming down the hill at speed, especially at night time. We dont want a second death on this road.

We can say good bye to PB's up the hill also.
