Knapsack Reserve update for 06 Mar
All good at Knapsack Reserve and a little cleaner after today's effort.
The weeds behind the soccer oval are getting out of control. Might be something we need to fix.
Do you have more information?
If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

Oaks Evening Cruise
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Woodford train station. So you'll have to catch the 18:41 train from Glenbrock at the latest.
I'll be riding up the oaks before hand so will meet anyone wishing to join me at the head of the trail or station if preferred.

Planned 570km long track
Was out riding today and came across this sign and I got a little excited.
To sum up, a track/path is getting built from Brooklyn to Goulburn
Now the section in Penrith they are upgrading will have a shared path.
But I don't know if the entire track will all be shared access. I think it should be, and maybe we need to speak up.
I have done a quick google and all I have come up with are these 2 sites.

New Forks
Hi guys I just got some new forks for the bike was told to play with the stack height before I cut the steer tube.So whats the advantage of a taller stack and how much is to high before you get a cruiser not a trail bike.Just a small thing I have already gone 10mm more travel but will run more sag to comp.

IMB Mag Trail Maintenance
In the free online International Mountain Bike Magazine issue 10 they have an article on Trail Maintenance and I think it will become a regular article with each issue. Also contains video.
Check out the Article here.
[Mod. moved to NSW Trail Advocacy as this would be useful to anyone across the state]

Clean Up Australi Day- Yellomundee
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
OK, here are the links the Clean Up Australia Day page Xuela has started, and the location page.
And down the bottom is her email address if you need to contact her. I think Beth may be working on the day at Glenbrook, but the girls and I shall be there.

Not The Faint Hearted
Well, what an event, what a turnout! The quality of the steeds presented certainly made up for the lack of quantity. These old machines had already paid their dues in spades on the trails but that didn't stop us brave, but more likely stupid riders asking them for one last chance to relive the glory days of mountain biking.
