This is my old bike, I've had it for a few months now and it's been on the Oaks. It's not as good as Jim's, but will have to do as I'm not getting a second one.

Ride Database Entry:
Winmalee
Meeting Point:

Behind the nursery on Hawkesbury rd.

Friday afternoon/evening ride around Winmalee.
To change things up a bit we'll start near the nursery and ride the sniggle then down the Grotto. From here we'll head up to Shaw's, ride along Shaw's then down into Bluegum. The challenge is going up Bee's Nest and make it past the last left hander, then on to the lookout. Return via Springwood Ridge and reverse sniggle.
Lights are probably not necessary, however Ill be putting at least my bar light on just in case.
Not too keen if it rains as the sniggle and grotto suffer badly in the wet.
See you there........

Had another crack in the cooler weather. Still feel I could go faster - the legs were a bit heavy after Scribs yesterday.
Goal is for a high 24 by the end of the month.

Bars, grips and seat ex-MTB. Brakes just functional, gears for display purposes only.
Most bearings gone, wheels wobble in figure-8s.
Rattles like a coal train.
Mudguards, rack, dynamo, lights, kickstand.. when I find a front basket, I'm ready to go.

Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 06 Feb

Status:
Green/Open

All good, I haven't rode it since the ribbon cutting. Nice to see how well it has bedded in. Some areas still need improvement mainly with corralling the track, to many short cuts have developed at technical spots and corners. Alot of cracks on the tracks in the grass areas. I hope this does not develop into a problem. My brother had a good fall, made sure to take a snap before i helped him Smiling

Bee's Nest, still not conquered.

Had a crack at Bee's Nest tonight, 1st attempt on the new bike. Managed 11:55 but I still had to walk that 15-20m section before the last steep left hander. I think its mental now as much as anything else because I always stop in the same place.
At least I've got a bench mark to work on and just riding that section will cut probably 20-30sec off the time.

Hot and humid hot lap

Having stayed off the bike all week due to the hot weather I was keen for a quick lap just to stretch my legs. Started the ride at around 6;00pm with temperatures still at 33 degrees and high humidity.
I didn't plan on having a fast lap, just wanted an easy ride without over heating. As I was riding I thought I was making good time and decided to push on a bit, without going to hard because it was still hot.
