Skinny rigid forks gives you a more streamlined profile, so you can go even faster...

One old bike living the dream.

It possibly was the cheapest mountain bike Specialized sold in 1995, and the sticker may have said not for off road use, but this old Specialized Hardrock is still kicking. Although the rider was a little concerned on the downhill runs.

When:
Sunday, 27 February, 2011 - 09:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Six Foot Track
Meeting Point:

Corner of the Six Foot Track and Megalong Road. Either drive here, or take the train to Blackheath and ride down Megalong Road to the start (15.5km from the train station).

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

I still haven't done this ride after years of living in the mountains. Apparently it's got some fast signle track, bushland and farmland - so a nice variety.

I can transport one rider from Katoomba or back up if required.

I love doing hill repeats up this. Usually do between high 7mins to mid 8mins. Want to break 7mins but i think i need the top section to be in better condition, or maybe i just need more strength to push harder through the flat section.Have always wanted to be able to compare times with other riders on this section.
My fav hill is on the other side of GHS from Mountain Avenue but its very hard on the brakes coming down each time.
