ok, i've not had broadband for a while and am now back in the land of the living with my new connection. i've been saving all my rides on my gps and they all show up on the history section. i've gone to upload them onto my inbox on motionbased and after initially uploading for a while it says once comlete that there are no new rides on my device!!!! what gives???
by the way, some of you already know i'm far from being an I.T. expert but this is a fairly basic task!

MotionBased are migrating to Garmin Connect. You should be able to login and upload your stuff there directly:

http://connect.garmin.com/

They are supposed to be moving activity history, but I note only the shorter rides I've done have made it over so far. They say not to worry and it's being done in phases.

While this is nice for Garmin users, it doesn't bode well for those that have other devices.

Hi Gazza,

What Rob said. I recently got an Edge and found MotionBased to be practically unusable. It's slow, frequently would stall, processing times appear to be frustratingly long and the whole thing feels outdated.

Garmin Connect on the other hand is quite brilliant although I do have a couple of issues with it:
1) I haven't found out how to do with it is export the ride summary in the same way as MotionBased.
2) I can't make the live playback slow enough to be of any use.

I will be writing to them about these things, I believe it is still early days for Garmin Connect but it was the clincher for me purchasing an Edge in the end.
