Garmin - multiple courses

Is there a way to display more than 1 trail at the same time on the Garmin Edge 800?

Reason why, is that when I go out, I have setup beforehand a trail to follow. But then I have also another trail (or two) for other possible trail(s) to explore. So, is it possible to have more than 1 trail in what they call a 'course'? or to display 2 courses at the same time?

And also, on the same subject; why does my trail display purple – when I've setup on BaseCamp (+ again on the course options, from the unit) to be bright red?

…if someone from iOS could move to Garmin?1

Strava???

Just a quick question, does the strava app work while your phone is on standby, or do you need to keep it on for the whole ride?

Mapping your ride....what does everyone use?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hoping to find out what devices/apps/programs etc etc people are using to map their mountain bike rides. So would like to know:

1. What are you using?
2. Why did you choose it?
3. Can it be easily loaded onto google to be shared?

I'm not too fussed on things like cadence, heartrates etc etc included into the program/app/device - am just after a good product that will map the trail i just rode and then be able to put it into google...

Not sure whether to go for an expensive device or run with a basic app from itunes?

Any help/advice is appreciated... Thanks

Lapierre and RockShox launch auto-adjust suspension

Apparently senses fork movements and combines that with speedo and cadence inputs to adjust shock damping

Garmin Third Party Sensor for Speed Cadence

Gone and got a replacement for the crappy old GSC-10.

Just got hold of the Wahoo Fitness speed and cadence sensor.
Installed, scanned on garmin, ready to go!
Can't wait to try it out on the trainer.

Garmin Edge 500 Firmware Update 3.0

I just come across the latest firmware update for the Edge 500. I have only just installed it and haven't tested as yet but they have added a couple more screens now which I think is pretty cool.

For teaching kids how to ride.

Have a look at the video, a guy pushes a bike with no-one on it and it stays upright.

Light recommendations

I'm looking to buy a decent set of lights so I can start doing some trail work in the dark evenings. Anyone recommend anything decent? Budget around $250-$300 ish?
