Hi I have shipped my 2011 Specialized Pitch comp over from the UK and I'm considering selling it as I fancy something different, the thing is I'm unsure of pricing for itas new to the country and not sure they even sold it here, can anyone give me a idea?

It is completely standard apart from a Specialized command dropper post fitted, its been very well looked after, although it does have some scratches.
It has 150mm travel with Rock shox sektor forks and rock shox airo shock, sram x5 shifters, x7 rear mech, slx front, avid elixir 3 rsl brakes.

Hi there everyone. Im thinking my fork and shock are due for a freshen up. Is there a scientific way of knowing when its due or is it just a yearly thing i must do.

Also, i no its not to hard a job to do but where is the best place buy the seals and fluid?

And do i need any speciality tools?

Cheers,

Jono.

Bike Cases/Bags Big Bikes

Hi All,

I am looking for some feedback from people who use Bike Boxes/Bags for transporting their bikes, particularly by air. I'd be really keen to hear what solutions people with larger framed, full-suspension bikes have, particular 29ers. I have a Cannondale Scalpel 29er in an XL frame and am searching for a bike box/bag that I can get it into with out have to break it into its component pieces. I think I would prefer a hard/semi hard case to offer a little more protection for the bike.

Sticky post

Just got back to the bike after a couple of months away and doing a routine check over before heading out tomorrow. All good bar the seat post which seemed very tight web I tried to raise the saddle a touch. It came out with some effort but the post and the inside of the seat tube look kinda corroded - a bit grey and feels chalky.

Is this normal? Just a result of of the cooling temperatures or some moisture in there? I was going to put a tiny touch of some sort of light grease on the post before reinserting it - unless there are any good recommendations out there?

Cheers

RockShox Recon 351 Solo Air Forks-Lockout Issue

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

The lockout function on my forks no longer works. When the motion control switch is open the forks appear to have the full range of travel but when switched to the lockout setting the amount of travel remains the same.
Anyone have any tips or suggestions for a remedy to this problem? The forks are 4 years old and have had a major service approx 2 years ago.

Thanks in advance!

Chris.

Durability Stan's Crest wheels

Still considering options for wheel upgrade. Was considering Stan's Crest or Arch Ex. I'm fairly light, 60 kg. how durable are the Crests for general trails, no huge jumps or drops eg. Lake parra, manly dam, OMV? Only ride once a week, about 15 km. Spoke to a well respected wheel builder who suggested because of my weight and type of riding I don't need anything too burly. Leaning towards the Crest for the lighter weight. So would the Crest be durable enough?
