Specialized epic fork

Hey guys,

I'm tossing up between keeping my rockshox SID Brain forks
Or changing to the Fox flow CTD fork.

Who else has the epic fork and what do you think?
And has anyone swapped to the Fox fork?

Cheers Tony

Bike recommendations for 3-4 yo kids? ByK?

What do you reckon given below? I like the look of the ByK E-350, which amazingly has 18 inch wheels despite being designed for 4-6 year olds, so as well as being light and hopefully more enjoyable, I reckon it will last my daughter longer than a 12 inch saving money in the long run.

What size front rotor for disc brake

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I was wondering what size front brake rotor most people were using for typical perth hills riding. Places like kalamunda and Forsyth's Mill.

160 or 180? Is there any benefit in upsizing to a 180.

I am getting new wheels and need to buy centrelock rotors. Not sure whether to go 160 or 180.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Convert to 180mm disc brake rotor

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I've got a set of Avid Elixir 3 disc brakes. Currently have 160 front rotor.

I am getting new wheels that use shimano centrelock discs and figure I will upsize to a 180mm front rotor.

It all seems so confusing what adaptor I need to buy to convert the Elixirs from 160 to 180.

Can anyone please advise what adaptor I need. Thanks for the help.

has anyone got advice on good night riding glasses and where to get them from?
I have heard that safety glasses are the go - are there better brands than others?

DOT 5.1

hi guys,
just wondering if anyone has any experience with using standard moto/car 5.1 brake fluid instead of the original Avid fluid.
this is for a set of XX brakes and Avid recommend using only their own branded fluid....
thank you

Buying in bulk - things you replace often!

Hi, I am looking after the servicing of about 5 bikes for other people and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for bulk buying for cable inners and outers, tubes etc...etc...the stuff you replace often.

I found a site in the states where you can buy 10 inner gear cables and 20 metres of outers, but they wanted $47 for postage and the purchase was only $51.

Cheers

Hey all,
I fractured my wrist at the start of summer on camakasi, did the works, both bones, displaced and tendon damage. Anyway after getting it bolted and wired back together shes all healed up now apart from restricted movement. I'm in the market now for wrist protection/support and wondering what people have tried? any recommendations? From what I can find there's the:
$25 cheapie EVS WB01 Wrist Brace

Tyres

I've put some new maxis tubeless tyres on my 29 inch rims and when they rotate it feels like I'm riding on an egg. I've pumped them to a high pressure and they have popped into place , but are still not even on the rim. Any ideas. Thanks
