RNP Maintanence Day
Rangers office carpark on Farnell Ave. This is the second turnoff you'll come to right at the top of the hill down to Audley.
This is a trail maintenance day at Royal National Park.
Just a reminder of another day of track maintenance is scheduled for this Saturday. I'm told I have to pick my game up and supply morning tea.
We'll be working on the temptation creek area so you can meet us on the track just up from the creek crossing if you don’t want to come to the office.

appin- tour guide needed!
North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.
hi,
moderate rider would like to try appin but not too sure of the track layout, ( how easy it is too get lost and such), so if anyone would like to ride and knows the way that would be great, pm or give us a bell!
cheers
another short notice ride
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
have never ridden the track before but am heading up for a look around. Hopefully things are a bit drier out there. Would be great if anyone was interested in joining up. Will be looking at a time roughly around 11 to be there so can ride for a couple of hours and get out before traffic sets in.

Public meeting with NPA
The Narrabeen Tramshed, 1395a Pittwater Rd, Narrabeen
When it rains, it pours, eh?!
This is nothing to do with the Manly Dam debarcle that is ongoing as I write, but have just got word of another very important advocacy meeting from the editor of AMB:
Hi all,
The NPA has called a public meeting next week to outline their arguments against proposals to allow mountain biking in national parks in Sydney's north. We desperately need numbers there! In light of everything that has happened in the past few weeks we need to have a strong presence.
Singlespeed Worlds 2010
Whakarewara Forest Rotorua - "World's Best Trails" AMB current issue.
Join us in Rotorua NZ for the 2010 Singlespeed Worlds - first time in Southern Hemisphere since Castlemaine in 2003. No qualification - just a one speed mtb!
And a sense of humour...
Warringah Council Meeting - Show support with silent protest
Council Chambers, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why (enter Civic Drive)
Council need to be shown immediately what a mistake has been made, and how many riders are effected by the recent Manly Dam trail closure.
As such it would be a very good idea to show up at this meeting for a silent show of support. Speakers are not allowed at this meeting and rowdy, insulant or other petty behavior would not help our cause one bit.
Please wear your riding gear and helmet so council are sure where your allegiance lies.
Appin Fun - Weather Permitting
North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.
Given it's likely the Dam won't be up to much even if it is open, I'm going to head to Appin as it normally drains better. Planning on doing a few laps at a reasonable pace but will wait for anyone if needed (hopefully they'll wait for me too).
If you fancy joining let me know.
