Terrey Hills Night Social - Now Thu AND 6.30pm

When:
Thursday, 2 February, 2012 - 18:30
Ride Database Entry:
Terrey Hills / Duffys Forest
Meeting Point:

Park on Aumuna road outside Terrey Hills Tavern

-33.682365, 151.227937 (Terrey Hills Shops)

Hi, posting this for Thu.

How about meeting a bit earlier and trying to link all trails? (Duck+Centre+Perimeter+Long) This adds up to somewhat short of 40km's.

People not that keen can still join, as it is fairly easy to drop out half way after finishing Centre track. This will total about 16km's car-to-car.

Cheers,
Volker

So who's up for 100+ km of dirt?

I've always wanted to do this classic ride in both directions (much harder going up!), and in the light of the Convict 100 in May (formerly Dirtworks) this gives me all the more reason to do such a long ride. Obviously not for the faint hearted, but any of those brave enough to join me, be my guest.

Here's how it'll go:
Leave Glenbrook 7:45, riding down to causeway, on dirt road to The Oaks and along the Oaks Firetrail. Long grind!
Hopefully reach Woodford by 9:45 & refill water
Down Murphy's Firetrail to Bedford creek (Downhill for once!)

Round 4 of 2012 XCM Series

The tranquil waters of Jervis Bay and the township of Callala Beach play host to this classic mountain bike marathon. Only in its second year, "The Husky", as it is affectionately known, has gained wide spread accolades as the most enjoyable, laid-back and achievable marathon on the Australian MTB Endurance Calendar.

Appin XC track maintenance

When:
Saturday, 18 February, 2012 - 08:00
Ride Database Entry:
Appin
Meeting Point:

North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.

Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.

Bring your own tools if possible. I'll try to ge some from WMBC as well. We'll possibly be rerouting two sections, one on the first climb and the second on the descent to the roll down/bridge. Don't forget sunscreen, gloves and plenty of water.
