There are two parts to this:

1) BMORC are participating in an inaugural trail hosting gig with NPWS @ the Oaks.
- This has come about as part of BMORC's growing relationship with NPWS rangers and area management around the Blue Mountains.
- Obviously increased riding opportunities on Single track in line with new NPWS MTB policies are our aims.
- So due to a late drop out, we need 1 volunteer to accompany me from approx 8am to 12pm @ Woodford trail head to meet and greet etc etc (There is also a training component on Satruday 31March if you want to attend, but I can cover this).

Pacific Highway and Fernleigh Loop, Adamstown Heights

Currently Chuck and Myself plan to visit Glenrock. Check out the work that has been done and enjoy a ride.

BMORC has just won a council battle to get Knapsack developed and we would like to get a closer look at what has been done at Glenrock.

We are hoping a local may be kind enough to meet up and give us a guided tour. Some background knowledge in the construction of the trails would be fantastic.

We will keep an eye on the weather and trail status updates. If the tracks are to wet we will post pone for a better day.

Appin XC track maintenance

When:
Saturday, 21 April, 2012 - 08:00
Ride Database Entry:
Appin
Meeting Point:

North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.

Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.

-34.200985,150.792578 (North end of Burke St, Appin)

Bring your own tools if possible. I'll try to ge some from WMBC as well. We've got a few options due to all the good work done in the previous months. I'd like to walk my proposed reroute of the Fall Line point with some people to get their opinions of it. That should only take 30 minutes at the most. We may be able to start cutting it in and with a good sized team possibly get it finished on the day. Another option is to do a bit of rock armouring and drainage work on the 'new' singletrack after Kings Falls Bridge from the firetrail.

Am on annual leave and going to tackle Andersons + Oaks (1 way).

Will park at Glenbrook and catch the train up to Wentworth Falls.

Looking to start reasonably early in the morning, but am flexible on the time if anyone would like to come along.

Could certainly use someone who has done it before as it is my first Andersons run.

Loop The Lake

When:
Sunday, 11 March, 2012 - 07:00
Meeting Point:

Morriset Ride Registration Desk

-33.10612,151.49730

Duh, this is getting really frustrating.

With the James Williams Endura cancelled. Glenbrook Causeway closed. Anybody has any good idea where to still get a ride in?

Post your thoughts and I will see if we can get a ride out of it.

I'll move this to Sunday and I will work out a long loop that either involves the cycle path along the M5 or the Lake Loop sounds quite appealing!

I am going with the Lape Loop starting from Morriset. Watch out for a Blue Stevens Hardtail, that'll be me. I'll be at the Registration desk at about 7.30.

See you all there!

Round 2 of 2012 XCM Series

Capital Punishment in Canberra, another chance to tear your legs off.

Capital Punishment is a 50km and 100km mountain bike enduro.

This event has a huge amount of fantastic single track, is well marked and groomed and makes for a super fun and thrilling ride.

The 2012 course will be substantially the same as the 2011 course.
