Confused... Can anyone help?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
Date:
20 Apr 11

I'm well confused. I started and finished the clock at the official start/stop post Mount Annan's map but my iPhone only logged 5km. I went through both the green and blue sections even hit up the blue section that climbs up the hill where if forks (left climbs and right drops down, I figured left would be more accurate?). How am I missing another 1.8km? Can't figure out where it is. I even rode up the small climb (around the tree and post and back down again) before entering into the green section again.

Seat mounted hydration system

I can't decide if this is a good idea or not.

I like that the weight is off your back, but it seems a little too high & would affect balance - especially if its half-full (or half-empty) & the water is sloshing from side to side through tight turns.

Help with OH&S - Cycle in the Office

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hello all, I work in an office in Sydney CBD. I cycle my pride and joy in every day and park her in my office (behind my desk). My office is on the 10th floor which is served by 6 lifts, which I use to get the bike up there.

A colleague of mine who is a fellow cyclist was lambasted by the building manager stating taking a cycle into a lift was an OHS issue. It seems if a cycle is in a lift and there is a fire, it's dangerous or something. NB the lifts are wide enough that people can get out whilst the cycle is in there.

Kiwarrak State Forest update for 20 Apr

Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Rode the newly marked XC loop yesterday. Brilliant fun! Great work guys, just having to follow the fluoro markings means more flow and less stop-start to get your bearings for us out of towners.

Great traction. A pleasant change from the dust of the Mont last week.

Rated amber because of a few muddy spots that should dry out over the next couple of days.

Ourimba on Good Friday

When:
Friday, 22 April, 2011 - 11:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Ourimbah State Forest
Meeting Point:

Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here). Please do not park in this car park.

Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB notice board here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up the hill). Park up nose to curb or as directed.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Hey,

As was being discussed on the forum I'm heading up to Ourimba this good friday. Never been before so gonna explore the area or if people in the know fancy coming all the better. Plan on being on the trail for 11am

Its not going to be anything too stressful, just a social ride, enjoying the pleasures of a day off work

Remote seat posts

I'm tossing up the idea of investing in a remote seat post. I've read plenty of mags with reviews although I'd like some first hand wisdom from the real world.

Phone sports tracker apps

Just wondered which app (if any) you use while out on your bike and what phone you're using.

I have a Galaxy S (droid 2.2) and use Endomondo. It's reasonably accurate, reliable and the onlonline part is very comprehensive.

I tried run keeper but it kept dropping signal and just didn't work very well. Friends who have iphones don't seem to have a problem with it though.
