Where's Red Hill ?
I've noticed Red Hill aint on the trail status list,Where has it gone, and does anyone know how it looks out there at the moment....cheers..vc

I need to learn how to climb...
...or maybe my legs, lungs and heart need to be stronger

13:17 32:40 46:04... 4 Gates at Lunch.. 7 minutes shaved off
Horses slowed me down on the initial descent. Legs slowed me down on the climb out. 7 minutes faster than last time though so feeling good.
Still don't know how you guys do such fast times, especially when it looks to be a lap out of a longer ride!

I got flung in this Fling
This is undoubtedly the toughest and longest race for me to date...8 hours is a long time to spend in the saddle. I cramped severely in the last ten km's and it was as hot as blazes. I got bitten by three cattle flies which was quite an experience...the one through my lycra.I had a rock bash my shin from another bike...which was quite painful
On the positive I enjoyed the novelty of the water crossings and some beautiful scenery and the fact that my bro-in-law had his best ride to date was the highlight for me. The race was well organised and sign posted.

Miscellaneous Parts Needed
Hi im looking at mudguards now just to keep my bike clean, and drivetrain smooooth.... Has anyone had any experience with the cycraguard mudguards? They look pretty cool and are supposed to be good, just want to no if they keep the water out as well as the mud.

I also need the front section of the gear cable outters. Will this do the trick?

Thanks everyone!

Very wet!! Still rideable, had lots of fun but bear in mind it will take its toll on your drivetrain. Very cool thou, rivers are flowing very fast and very high.
