Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail update for 29 Jul

Status:
Green/Open

Couple puddles along the way but nothing much to worry about. Entry by the fire station and top part of descent is pretty rough with plenty of large, loose stones.

Terrey Hills update for 29 Jul

Same as a couple of weeks ago - standing water and deep mud in places. In fact, think Perimeter and some of the Long Trail bog holes might actually have become worse somehow. The run-off from the padd

Delicious - One for you mate (or any other knowledgable nobmobbers)

I have XTR M970 cranks and need to replace the inner and middle chainring. XTR is too expensive, and I wanted to know what other chainrings I can fit.

Great ride But short on conversation

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

A belated and brief blurb on last nights Stromlo training ride . I had the opportunity to leave work a little early last night and hit the trails at about 3.45 for a exploratory / lung busting training ride on one of the newly marked trails , which there are now six . The trail which i rode on was an intermediate / Advanced ......so it scared me a little.... but just the right amount of techy stuff and plenty of flowing berms around the western side where it got a bit crowded ....

Winter fun @ Ourimbah

When:
Saturday, 15 August, 2009 - 10:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Ourimbah State Forest
Meeting Point:

North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Time to catch up with our friends from the central coast.

Hopefully the winter sun will be shining and a great day out can be had by all. As it's winter no point showing up too early. Remember to bring some snacks for lunch Smiling

Personally I'll be hitting the XC course for a few laps, but don't let that stop those of the DH persuasion coming to say hello and shuttle a few.

See you there!
