Hunter Valley single track

Heading up to the Hunter valley this weekend and keen for a Friday ride any suggestions or Google Earth directions or company would be most welcome. Me thinks there’s got to be some good stuff between the Cessnock turn off and the Hunter region.

First of all please excuse my lateness in replying to threads and personal messages - am having to get to Internet Cafes and this is my first visit to one since last week.
Here's the bad news which is making me start to believe that someone up there doesn't want me to ride anymore..... Yesterday I went to visit the worlds best Sports Physio - Joel Werman in North Sydney, Miller Street by the cricket Oval. He is the superb and sorted me out last year with a knee problem in one visit. His number is 9558766if anyone is unlucky enough to need him.

Bike lights

I've noticed there is a weekly bike ride at 17;30 or round about that time in terrey hills. Now i was wondering if you need a bike light for these rides. I looked into buying a bike light and have been shocked buy the prices. One store told me they start at $140 which is rediculus. So my question is do you need it?

If the answer is indeed yes

where did you get the bike lights from? How much did you pay and what do you recomend.

My fall back plan is to go down to dicksmith electronics and wireing up a few LEDs.

Information would be aprecieted, thanks.

Upgrade Stumpy to Enduro

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hello all fountains of information.
A way in the future (depending), but I'm interested in any advice on the following:
I have a Stumpy 120 (Septune 120mm Fox shock) with a 140mm fork
After recently cactusing the shock link I had it replaced with a beautiful piece of engineering that allows the rear end 120-150mm of travel.
The bike shop said that they couldn't get 150mm of travel from the back as it would throw out the geometry of the bike.

riding Oxford Falls DH in Wet Conditions

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

With all this rain, I was out there yesterday and today with some mates doing general maintenance and fixing up some of the drops & landings, we were very surprised and disappointed to see riders (kids) hitting the DH trail given the current conditions.

Now the wood structures are no longer there means everything is made out of rock and dirt and when it rains heavily this stuff turns into soft mud. So when you ride on these features it makes a mess and damages the landings.

so could those that chose to ride the DH trail in the wet either
