Rides around Batemans Bay, Mogo etc

I'm heading down to Rosedale, just south of Batemans Bay. Anyone got any suggestions on rides in the area or where I can find out info.

Very similar to the last ride I posted but I intend to actually ride it this time, as I won't be doing any jumps beforehand. For those who haven't done it there is a lot of very nice single track and fire roads in the mid mountains between Woodford and Lawson. We'll be doing mostly single track for obvious reasons, it's not too technical but will keep the experienced riders smiling also.
Lunch at the pub in Lawson seemed popular last time so we'll take a vote on it on the day.
Cheers John.
We can start earlier, if that's the Mobs choice, but I'm allowing for traveling time.

what would you take?

what are your recomendations for parts/tools/spares for wildeside down in tasy?

heheh i have a sneaking suspicion my drivetrain might need some work before i go given the chain has started to slip....

we're taking the reign, prophet and the old green machine as a spare.

What bike to get???

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I currently ride a Norco Six 3 and am looking at getting something a little lighter. I started riding in 2000 on a Giant XTC NRS (it is just collecting dust) and I do like the ride of the Norco but it is just over 17kg. The below bikes range from 12-13kg and I think will suit what trails I ride most often . I have narrowed it down three bikes at this stage. I am only looking at bikes with 5 inches of travel as I think they start getting too heavy with my budget being $3500 max.

The order I have them in is;

1. Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp

Dam snakes

Posted on behalf of Christine, she's too busy riding now days to use her computer.

"When I was riding manly dam on boxing day with my friends we came across this brown snake at the top of the golf course – right by the very first rocks you ride down before you get to the really big rock"......look hard, its near the base of the tree
