Crossmark Exception

Finally back on the bike after 9 long weeks (I even did my first jigsaw puzzle), and I'm buying my bike some new tyres. I'm wondering if the Crossmark Exceptions mean more flats, especially as my lines aren't as smooth as I would like them to be. Is the increased performance worth it? Maxxis says they are 'race only', and not sure whether to go for these or the regulars.

Duck Holes / Waratah / Centre Track

When:
Sunday, 2 December, 2007 - 15:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Waratah Track
Meeting Point:

Terrey Hills shopping centre car park, near the Rural Bush Fire Brigade station

Hardly been on my bike in 3 weeks and I'm hanging for a pedal (Stuart behave).

I'm planning to do Duck Holes to Waratah and return via Centre track to loosen the cobwebs and would be happy for some company if there are like minded souls out there.

The trails aren't technical, although Waratah is a little gnarly in places and by my reckoning it's a touch over 27k's for the loop.

Sunday is forecast to be fine with a top of 25, but if its raining I probably wont ride - call me on 0409-359961 if in any doubt.

Pre BBQ Ride

When:
Saturday, 15 December, 2007 - 09:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam

Here's the ride to go with the Xmas BBQ.

Note the 9:30 start time.

I figure this is early enough for people to come and go home to clean/change and return for BBQ if they are close enough.

It's also not too early so those who want to hang around at the dam all day and do more laps and show up at the BBQ stinking can (you know who you are!) Laughing out loud

See you there!

Prescription Riding Glasses

Having given up on contacts which irritate me too much, I'm in the market for some prescription riding glasses.

I've noticed a few people wearing them and wondered if anyone had any good experiences in getting something reasonably priced, not too flash, that don't steam up too easily.

Thanks in advance,
Matt.
