A fast lap of the Dam, in the rain
A lap of Manly Dam completed by Liam and Steve. It was raining a bit, making the trail a bit slushy to brake on. Possibly could do this just a bit faster next time in the dry. But even this time was faster than I thought I could do it...
Sorry for holding you up Steve!! We know you could break 30!

Terry Hills Social
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Social ride with a few friends to the Long Track lookout and back.
We will not be out to break the course record, however will keep up a decent pace.
Everyone welcome!

Oooh... this looks nice:

I hope Flynny won't mind me quoting him from MTB-OZ:
Starting up the Drift sucked. From there it was nice fun pace. A few of the guys hadn't seen the Glow worm tunnels so we decided to ride down, walk through the tunnel and back then traverse the Pagoda track to link up with the coach rd. This was a nice little side trip. The Pagoda track, though short, offered some nice riding in between hikeabike with fantastic views over some grand old cliff lines.

Site + Maps Of Central Coast Rides :)
New Mountain Bike OZ mag has a link to a new site with maps of various trails and write ups in the central coast region, from the dudes at wyong and gosford council. not any earth shattering new stuff, but worth a read! enjoy

The Blue Mountains Epic - or There and Back Again
Well, thought I might share an experience from the weekend with you all.
Due to other commitments we (Mark & Tracy) were unable to participate in most of the planned rides (Mini DW etc) over the next couple of weeks in the lead up to Bateman's Bay, so we decided to go and revisit Anderson's and The Oaks. A group of us did this some time ago (when we busted the Scott for those who may have seen the trail repair picture) which didn't go exactly as planned. Nevertheless we had a good ride and the distance (around 60-65km) was about what we wanted to do. So this time ended up with me and my significant other and Leo, who had come with us last time. Bit of a ride, finish mid afternoon, home for the rugby - sweet.

Lost - Second wind pump on 22/7th
Hi all
I saw many riders out on sunday (22nd July) - had a great time myself. I lost my second wind pump. I think i lost it either on the extended loop of the dam (when you cross over the wakehurst parkway) or at the end of the normal loop on the slippery wooden descent (yes i crashed a few times on sunday)
It cost me ~$50 so if anyone finds it please let me know

Save Oxford Falls
I hope you guys put as much energy into trying to save Oxford Falls from being decimated for houses as you have into having a go at Alex...at least trying to save Oxford Falls works for the greater good of everyone!

'08 Bling
I was in BA yesterday, they have some '08 bling in already!
In fact, they almost had a bling overload. Couple of Santa Cruz models and a Yeti sat there front and centre as you walk in.
The '08 Carbon Rush was looking very nice. Hmmmmmm.... carbon crack'n'fail...

CBO Group Buy?
All... I'm in need of some pads for the Juicy 7's and also figure the Crossmark are so good (mud & sand on the wet rocks today, couple times I was expecting the rear to slide but stayed solid - very impressive) will get a set in for when the current ones wear out.
Even with just two of each, a CBO order comes in cheaper than local mail order, and of course, way cheaper than the LBS. Sad but true, but what can you do?
Group buy... that's what Anyone want anything from this particular store? So long as we keep the order under $1K Aussie no import duty and we can split the shipping.
