Think of this as The Oaks big brother. Longer, steeper, rougher, tougher climb at the end, harder to get to. Up to the reader to decide if these things make for a better ride.

Real Top

OK, this is the real top or East end of Andersons. Actually, this is at the end of Bedford Road, and is actually Murphys Fire Trail (the name appears to change at the second creek crossing).

Either way, well done for making that climb. Now the only decision to make is to hit The Oaks or bail at Woodford train station - what a silly second option! Eye-wink

Murphys Junction

This is looking back from where we came (to the right). Straight ahead is the dead end of Murphys Glen.

This means if you just came up the hill (from here) you should turn left (NW).

Top of Climb

Top of the climb... everyone rejoice!

Climb a Lot

The climb from the second creek crossing is murder. Don't even think of relaxing here, there's plenty more to come (well over 200m vertical in all).

Bedford Creek

Crossing Bedford Creek. It is possible to ride this if the water is low enough (or you don't mind chilly mountain water in your shoes!).

Chilly Drop

There was a really noticeable temperature drop here as we passed between the two creek crossings.

Cross QVC

Queen Victoria Creek that is - first of the two (hopefully shallow) creek crossings.

Final Blast

Make the most of it... you'll be climbing a wall soon enough.

Very Rough

Very nearly at the bottom of the rough stuff... look back at what's past. This stuff is steep, although you can't tell from the shot of course.
