Manly Dam update for 23 Feb
Green as of 1pm yesterday. Not now. Has bucketed down overnight and this morning.
If you really must trash your bike riding in the wet on sandy Northern Beaches soils, Duck Holes and Centre Track at Terrey Hills will be open and are the best-drained trails in the area.
The Dam will take a couple of windy/sunny days to dry out I expect.

MTB just got slagged off on the ABC!!
On the ABC's 7:30 program we were just lumped in with 4wd's & Moto's who are causing damage to land near Menai which the local Aboriginal land council wants to develop into 2000+ homes.An opponent of this said "you can see the damage that the 4wd's, Motorbikes & Mountain bikes are causing from coming in here".I just knew that this lady was going to mention MTB after those 2 that were mentioned.I will do some googling & see if the lady can be contacted & get an explanation or reason of her thoughts!!.
Cascades update for 22 Feb
Rode it today, no standing water to speak of just the usual drains running down the hill.
There was even some soft sand starting to appear in places.
Deepest causeway was about 1"

Ourimbah State Forest update for 22 Feb
I'm calling red on the DH track.
The dirt was very soft and there were plenty of rivulets coming down the main shuttle road.
A few runs by a few riders will carve it up.
If the weather holds (it wasn't when I left), Sunday could be ok to give it a go.

Best Sydney MTB trail for a 10 year old
Hey Guys,
First post so... hi.
Wondering which trails (other than the new MTB trails at Hornsby) you would recommend for a 10 year old to ride. Something that is not too technical. Hills are not too bad as he can walk his bike if needed.
Can be anywhere in the Sydney or Blue Mountains region.

Perfect for the indoor trainer
I use my daughters music stand to hold a tablet in front of the bike when I'm on the trainer but this $20 Aldi special would be even better, specifically designed to hold an ipad in front of you to avoid chronic boredom
