Conti fail
just to add to the Conti vs Schwalbe debate... i've been riding the same tyre combo for years, Rocket Ron Evolution TL ready at the front, Racing Ralph Double Defense at the back. set up as tubeless of course. never torn a sidewall or any other issues (apart maybe from the initial setup of the double defense on the rear which is a PITA, but nothing a Lezyne pump and removable valve cores couldn't sort out)
For Sale: 2012 Specialized FSR Camber Expert
This 2012 FSR Camber Expert was bought in December 2012 and has only been ridden once around manly dam with another 30kms or so put on road riding to and fro. It goes without saying that this bike is in mint condition. This is a very reluctant sale but... such is life... as you will see in the features i have added A530 pedals, a sports comp, bar ends and a shock pump. I paid $2,600 for it but need to move it ASAP. So what's the deal about riding/training in the rain?
Well I know this is a tough dirty sport and these bikes were designed to take it all in and last forever.....NOT!
With all the rain lately and probably more coming, what do the sages reckon about riding in the rain?
I know that riding in the rain and the trails is not great for your bike due to the obvious grit wear and tear, especially on the drive train; then of course there are the trails that suffer from riding on them when it's wet....no brainer!
So what about riding in the rain on the asphalt...for a few hours at a time.....what sort of damage can be done?
Garmin HRM won't sync
My HRM has suddenly stopped working with my Garmin 500, cadence still working. I swapped the battery out in the HRM for a new one but it has had no effect. Any ideas from anyone?

WSMTB Club XC series round 1
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
All riders are welcome at Round 1 of the WSMTB XC Series for 2013. Yellomundee Regional Park on Sunday 17 March. Rego from 8am to 8.50am sharp. U10s at 8.30am. U13s at 9am, and Seniors at 9.30am. See Cross Country page of www.wsmtb.com
Cost is $15 for MTBA members, and $20 for non-members (plus $20 for Day Licence).
