Price:
2,500.00

Hi there.
Jenny is selling one of her race bikes from 2012 (from when she raced with Rockstar).
This is a Small Giant XTC hardtail. It has been completely upgraded, and also serviced and maintained without regard for cost.

The bike features a full XTR groupset (excluding pedals), which works flawlessly, and recently had brand new pads and rotors.
There bars and stem are 'Pro' - extralight component arm of Shimano. Saddle is a Fizik Tundra (barely ridden) and the seatpost is the very light Giant branded version.

The bike can supplied in various guises with regard to wheels.

Havoc vs Mavic on Hope

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi all,

I've been looking for a new wheelset for a while and have narrowed it down to either: 1) 2012 Easton Havoc UST, or 2) 2013 Mavic EX823 on Hope EVO 2 .... Smiling

Both are UST out-of-the-box (a must). The price difference isn't all that great between the two, so that's not really a factor.

I'm a little concerned though, that the Havoc's might be a bit more trouble if/when you need to replace spokes (not as readily available?), and that there were problems reported with bearing preloads from some users (maybe fixed in newer versions) ?.

Blackbutt Reserve update for 26 Feb

Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Lots of wet areas. Can't do any more damage to the track with your bike than the trucks have done in the last few days (repairing / checking power lines?). You can shorten the life of a few bike components though....
Large tree down at the exit to Lady Game Dr. Bit of a scramble to get over / through and out onto the road.

Lane Cove National Park update for 26 Feb

Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Rode through from Gloucester Ave to a few hundred metres past Browns Waterhole before I decided I'd had enough. Pretty slushy in many parts, with water still flowing / seeping across the track frequently.

Cascades update for 26 Feb

Area:
Cascades
Status:
Green/Open

Rode it last night. Still lots of puddles as you'd expect after Saturdays rain and the chain felt like a piece of mining equipment on the ride home but not too bad. Certainly it was dry enough that the bike didn't damage the trails.

For Sale: 2012 Specialized Carve Pro 29er hardtail mountain bike medium, tubeless ready

Price:
1,750.00

God damn I didn't think it would be this hard.

This… this beautiful thing, this work of art, is a 2012 Specialized Carve Pro. Specialized's first frame expressly designed for 29er wheels (apparently), and my god does it go like stink. It really does 'carve' up flowing single track like it's a bitumen road.

This development gives me the creeps... "16,000 recreational amateur hunters are registered with the Game Council of NSW"

It's always interesting to meet some of those folks ...from the other side of the barrel....

Motos destroying jump tracks

Hi all,
Recently a notice was put up at the bottom of one of the jump tracks from Red Hill (see image).
Not sure how long it's been there but around december 2012 i took the other photos of one of three motos getting ready to set off from the Sports Centre. The other two riders were waiting at the bottom of said track where it comes out onto the Parkway but I couldn't get a photo of them.
