Withdrawn: Giant Trance X 29er 0 Demo ride at OMV this sunday
I booked a demo for a size M Giant Trance for 4pm this sunday and can no longer make it. If anyone is interested in taking my place reply to this ad and PM me your email address and your name and I will send you an email saying I have transferred the ride to you and also let the organisers know I've done this. Any probs on the day they can call my mobile and I can confirm over the phone.
Any interest in a regular social night ride at The Dam followed by beers
As the title suggest I'm seeing if there is any interest if I was to organise a regular social night ride at Manly Dam. I've really enjoyed the Terry Hills social rides but Wednesday night clashes with a couple of other events and I can't regularly get there for 7pm so I'd propose having a Manly ride on the alternating weeks from the Terry Hills ride and on a different night to give people as many options as possible.
So, what do people think of:
- fortnightly Manly Dam social ride
- I'd suggest a 7:30 start to allow people to get home, kiss the kids etc
Heathcote MTB
Went to ride one of the many tracks down at Heathcote today. A friend of mine lives near a track just behind Heathcote High School, just off Parklands Ave, and he invited me down for a ride. Although it took an hour to get there, it was a ride full of single tracks, fire trails, steady climbs and a few nice downhills. We did the 12 km circuit twice, but there are lots of additional tracks we will leave till next time. I have not ridden the other more well known tracks down that way, but will hopefully get to ride those soon too.

Not sure about this one so would like to hear what others think.
Kowen Forest update for 10 Mar
Update for the 9th - drier than a dead dingo's donger. What a great loop though (25km version + Far East loop). Saw (briefly as they flew by me) plenty of racer types probably training for CP or the Mont in a few weeks.
Do you have more information?

Was hungover so approached this as a casual ride. Stopped for a horse half way down heath track (15 seconds). Then stopped at the top of the quarry to get an energy gel out of my pack (90 seconds). This must have fired me up, because the rest of the ride i felt pretty good - even in the heat. Yes the time includes my stoppages... And those hills just dont seem to get any easier...
Makes for a great training ride if you only have an hour or so to belt out 450 metres of vertical
