Cascades update for 19 Jan
Great morning ride with cascades at its best, the showers of yesterday helping to pack down the trails. Also did the entire st ives single for the first time.....nice single track! The water bars down ryland provided some opportunity to gain some air and then a quick blast down forest way, down Heath and then up the main cascades trail finished us up.
Spent the rest of the day drinking p!ss - life is good.

Disappointing outcome
Great opportunity to ride some sweet Sparrow Hill and Kowen single track, for a good cause (fundraising for Bec Henderson), in an interesting format (team pairs - ride with your buddy). Two x 25 km loops, passing through the event centre twice each lap.
Spoilt for me (and my team mate) by the imposition of a previously unannounced or even foreshadowed cut off time. There was a mention of it in an e mail sent out late Friday, well after I'd left for the ACT, but even that described the cut off as TBA.

Hey guys, been riding around local beaches trails over last year or so but itching to get back into some flowy dh. Used to do dh years ago back home in Ireland but need to start fresh as its been that long!. I know Oxford falls is the place to start off. Is there anyone keen to come join or any crew that i can tag along with!Never ridden Oxford falls before so it's all new to me!
