Sub 35 finally!

Date:
28 Dec 12

Loaded my time from a few days ago into my Garmin and raced it. Gave me the extra time as when I felt like slowing down I know I had to keep at least 1 minute in front and save up any buffer I'd built.

Parkway to the creek; 1:44
Top of Heart Break hill; 3:50
Top of single trail; 9:26
Hydro lab; 15:46
School; 18:27
Golf Course; 26:40
Back to Parkway; 34:28

All good today - the rain has settled the dust nicely, and left just a few small puddles.

Glenbrook to Emu Plains via Knapsack - tips?

Hi all,

I'm riding The Oaks with some mates on Sunday and plan to start / finish at Emu Plains.

From Glenbrook I'm planning to ride some of the Knapsack trails to link up to the bottom of Mitchells pass. Looking at the maps on NobMob and Google Earth Knapsack does appear to be a bit of a maze.

Can someone familiar with the area give me some guidance; i.e. is it well sign posted, are there any landmarks to look out for to get where I'm trying to go... or should I just throw in the towel and start / finish from Glenbrook?

Thanks in advance for any assistance offered.

Perfect.

The rain dampened down the dust and made it nice and tacky.

Price:
1,700.00

2011 Giant Reign SX

Only ridden a handful of times, I recently bought this bike from MC Cyclery in Sydney and have realised that it's a little more bike than what I am after (something with less travel) as I want to enter some XC races.

The bike is basically in new condition besides a few very minor marks from my bike carrier. The bike still has the original tyres on it which have most of the tread left.

Spec can be found here:

Size: Medium

Comes with OURY grips

Royal National Park update for 27 Dec

Status:
Green/Open

All open, has held up well after recent rain, a few small puddles here and there easily avoided.

First time riding there this morning and what a great network of firetrail and flowing (legal) single track. It's also well signposted and definiately worth the drive down from the nth beaches if you have a spare morning.

Came across my 2nd rider in need of ambo assistance (first one was manly dam in aug) on a flat section of trail. He had been doing a wheelie, got his weight too far back, didn't have time to unclip and landed on his tailbone. Mainly winded but called the ambos just in case as he looked in a bit of pain. Hopefully all ended up well as we left after the ambulance arrived.
