garmin forerunner 910xt vs suunto ambit. Help me choose my Xmass gift!
Does anyone use garmin forerunner 910xt or suunto ambit for MTBiking?
Which one is better for us? Apart from riding i do a some running too.
Any advice/comments are appreciated.

Have you completed the NSW National Parks survey yet?
Final stage of Narrabeen Lagoon Trail under construction - NO ACCESS
There has been some new signage put up in the last few weeks about construction commencing by Warringah Council & Cromer Golf Course to complete the final link in the Narrabeen Lagoon Multi-Use Trail loop.
It has always been possible to ride/walk the Narrabeen Lagoon loop through the NSW Sports Academy & Cromer Golf course, but as of 17/12/12, the gates have been locked & new high fencing put up to prevent access. The new signs state that this is due to the area now becoming a construction site, & will not re-open till mid 2014... bugger!

New Years Eve 8hr MTB race, At"Bungarra Jindabyne". Solo and Teams, different format total number of laps completed and team mates can ride together.

New Hornsby Trail - Open Yet?
Anyone have an update on when the new trails out at Hornsby can be ridden? Last update on the Synergy Facebook page was that a couple of trees came down across the track (The Big Dippa) that had to be removed. That was back on December 12.
I know it was due to be opened early to mid December, so it must be close now??

For Sale: 2010 GT Avalanche 1.0 disc
Medium size. Barely been offroad, used as a street bike. Currently has 'Holy Roller' urban assault tires, but can swap out for Kenda Nevagal tires (see pic) if desired.
Freshly tuned up, everything works as new.
Specs:
Shimano Deore shifters, Shimano Deore front and Shimano XT rear derailleur, Disc brakes, Rock Shox Dart 3 front fork.
A few minor marks on the paint and small tear in the sea
