So a 29er does make a difference

Date:
18 Dec 12

It's been almost 3 years since my previous PB around the DAM and finally managed to crack it on the new steed. Actual lap was pretty mediocre given performance in technical sections so I reckon there could be another minute to save in the coming months once I get more comfortable with the big wheels.

Seesaw's

Chatting with a fellow Mountain Biker the other day and Seesaws came up in conversation. We both had different view points so I figured I would gather a broader perspective.

Should there be more Seesaws in mtn bike parks/sites to help develop and improve mtn bike skills or are they just fun but we don't really need them and can do with out.

What is your perspective?

Lane Cove National Park update for 18 Dec

Status:
Green/Open

Rode through from Gloucester Ave to the top of Devlins today. All dry and fun. Except for the occasional walker with headphones wandering along oblivious to everything.... Though I'm sure even they could hear the pile driving going on on the M2 at terry's Ck - ouch!

Thredbo XC

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

hi all,
heading to thredbo for the first time ever this christmas and just wondering what sort of XC tracks there are on the mountain itself. I've obviously had a look at the trail map and it seems the only ones rideable on an XC bike (100mm front and back) would be the new Kosciuszko Flow Trail and possibly the Merrits Traverse (and that one says guided tours only).
i don't mind the occasional hike a bike section but if it gets any harder than say the 'bunnings' trail here in sydney then i know it's not for me.

Stromlo Forest Park update for 16 Dec

Status:
Green/Open

First time down to Stromlo, bit of a drive down there and back in the day but worth it.

Trails were a little damp from some overnight rain but that made it nice and sticky. Perfect conditions.

Great trails and can't wait to get back down there over Christmas and try and master the wall ride.
