Jet Black 24 Hr Mt Annan 2012

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

So who's going? I'd love to get to know some NobMobbers.
I'm doing the 6+6 with one other.....who doesnt really post much on here but he's an ace rider. If I was as good as him. I recon wed have a chance of winning the over 40's catergory.....but as things go I'm just not his caliber. So were in it for some fun, without riding at night & freezing our nuts off at transition in the likes of the Mont & the Scott LOL. were taking the kids too.
I have no Idea how to make myself known as a Nobmobber..... or how to recognize another. Perhaps I should wear one of those celebrety heads signs LOL

Manly Dam volunteer day - 1st Dec

Final one before the xmas slowdown!

We had a few false starts however the Manly Dam rangers have arranged to have some crushed sandstone delivered to the top of the 19th hole lead in. We’re also hoping to get some sandstone flagging delivered this week as well to help armour these badly eroded sections

Plan is to get started around 8am and knock around lunch.... please let me know if you’re up for it?

Meeting point is the end of Roosevelt Ave near the Tennis courts..

Terrey Hills update for 25 Nov

Status:
Green/Open

Stinkin' hot and sandy. Could feel the temperature rising on the way out to the end of Long Trail, and when we got there a girl on a nice Trek 29er out with hubby and friend announced it was 30 degrees.

Sounded about right.

Summer is here.

Lane Cove National Park update for 25 Nov

Status:
Green/Open

Rode through from De Burgh's bridge to top of Devlins today. All good, nice traffic lines forming on the main trail from Browns and up Devlins. Lots of walkers and riders out. Hot as though. The Garmin indicated a top of 38C and an average of 30C and that was between 9.00 am and noon!

Ride more

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi,

I've been lurking here for a while, but haven't yet got involved.

Having done a couple of 100kers this year I'm well and truly hooked on mtbing again. Not just races, but long rides at the mountains, wisemans, few laps a the dam etc

Anyway, I want to ride more, get quicker, train better and enjoy my riding. The problem is that this all takes a lot of time. I've been considering a few options.

Road riding
Indoor training
Quit work and hope it will all be OK with no money
Just go riding all weekend and risk divorce
Night/evening rides
Morning rides

GNR

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
When:
Sunday, 25 November, 2012 - 07:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Great Northern Road
Meeting Point:

Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

I'm having a spin out here tomorrow morning - I have a curfew to be back in town by 12pm so planning on doing GNR, then the track up behind the Buddhist retreat, up over the hill and down Donny's track, along the bottom of the valley, up Simpson's track and home down GNR and Finches line. At a reasonable pace - it takes me about 50mins from the ferry to the the intersection of GNR and the Western Access track so not race pace but no mucking around. If anyone feels like a decent hit out in the morning feel free to come along.

Getting there.

Date:
24 Nov 12

Getting there. Hoping for a sub 40 next weekend.

Had an awful lap too, everything just went wrong, was hitting every rock and tree root, came off about 2min prior to completing lap (not hurt but annoyed)

Torpedo7 Camelbak Sale

A mate just brought my attention to a Camelbak sale on at Torpedo7 currently.

I just picked up a Camelbak Mule NV at 50% off - the price of a new bladder at local RRP. Add a FIRSTPURCH2012 coupon code I found and it was post free. Smiling
