Narrow Neck update for 27 Aug

Area:
Narrow Neck
Status:
Green/Open

mostly pretty dry although a couple of large puddles and on one of the downhill sections towards the tower has worn away from the rain/water flow, creating a nasty catcher for the unwary rider. (on the left hand side near the bottom of the downhill section)

For Sale: Cannondale F1000 (Medium) Spinergy/X9/XTR - Ride Manly Dam on it in sub 30minutes ;)

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I've just upgraded to a new Cannondale MTB (Carbon Flash FTW!) so am looking to sell my old ride. This is an awesome rig, some scratches and skuffs as expected on a 4 year old frame, I've always had a chain protector on so no chips on the chainstay, the Lefty is in very good condition as it has been completely rebuilt internally only a month or so ago. Wheels are true (Spinergys rarely go out of true), seat may need to be replaced as it's a little torn, but other than that it's good to go. Bought the bike new, with original receipts but have upgraded pretty much every part.

Manly Dam update for 27 Aug

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Lots of standing water around the creek, up the fire trail and behind the school.

Other areas weren't that bad. You'll definitely need to clean the bike after wards !

Problems bleeding promax brakes

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi,

I've bled avid juicy 3 brakes before with no problem, but now trying to with my front Promax Hornet brake and not having much success.

The process I've been following:
1. Prepare syringes (one with 3/4 filled dot4 and the other 1/4 filled) and try to remove as much air as possible (de-gas).
2. Attach 3/4 filled syringe to calliper.
3. Attach 1/4 filled syringe to lever.
4. Bleed cable, from calliper to lever.
5. Close lever handle and bleed calliper to remove as much air as possible (by applying pressure then suction alternately to get bubbles out).

Oxford Falls (Morgan Road) update for 27 Aug

Status:
Green/Open

In good condition. One or two areas of moving water where the ground isn't able to retain water but otherwise the dirt is tackier than Southern Cross fake tattoos on January 26th.
