Andersons + oaks ride this weekend
Hey people has anyone ridden the Andersons trail in the Blue mountains recently and is able to comment on the state of the two river crossings at the bottom of the valley? Looking for places to ride this weekend that are bomb proof with all the lousy weather we've had and I know that the river crossings at Andersons can get pretty deep with decent rainfall I basically just want to know if it's passable or not.. I did the Oaks out and back on Sunday and the Glenbrook causeway was under .8 worth of water with a solid current to it which made passing through it a bit of a mission.
Manly Dam update for 04 Feb
Raining again on an already saturated trail. Allambie/Frenchs Forest seems to be a rain magnet.
May not be officially closed but IMO you'd be wasting your time - trashing your bike and the trail.
I'd recommend Duck Holes and Centre Track loop or Perimeter and Long at Terrey Hills from the Jap School (trail from Nerang Rd entrance will be a mud pit), and maybe Cascades at Belrose.
Fire roads only today, please respect the trail fairies and stay off the singletrack.

Knapsack Reserve update for 03 Feb
Rode a few bits of the track today and those bits were all pretty much dry and good to go. I get lost / sidetracked / off the main loop every time I go up there. Must download a gps trace of the full loop and do it properly some time. A few more signs would be handy as well perhaps. Rode a new section today not far in from the lower entrance on Barnett St and it is shaping up pretty well.

The Oaks update for 03 Feb
Rode up from Glenbrook to the Oaks via Euroka and then back down the single track. Fire trails are all good, though they have had a scouring from the heavy rain. Sniggle is a bit eroded at the top end where it is basically a water course (just needs a few hundred more bikes down it to smooth it out a bit). Middle sections are fine. The "new" section has quite a bit of water seepage over many parts of the track but is holding up OK. Shows the value of professional trail construction.

Kelly McGarry RIP
Some sad news - Kelly McGarry has passed away at the age of 33 from cardiac arrest while riding with sponsor representatives from YT bikes.

I haven't ridden it but the council website says open.
Considering the above, I believe the correct status should be Amber.

Quarry Road Track (Berowra Valley) update for 02 Feb
A few puddles here and there but drying out nicely. Remember that time restrictions apply - the trail is only open before 9am and after 4pm.
