The Convict 100 is an ‘institution’ in Australia mountain biking! As one of the first marathon events established in Australia, it consistently inspires all entrants to push their personal boundaries. The 2016 event will be the 12th installment of the “Century of Dirt” and with 100km, 68km & 44km courses available there is a distance to suit riders of all skill & fitness levels.

The Bago Bluff MTB Marathon will Start at the beautiful Bago Vineyard, only 20km west of Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast of NSW, options will be 10 km, 50 km & 100km distances through both purpose built single track & rough, rocky MTB style fire roads on top of the Bago Bluff that will challenge all riders depending on the speed you ride.
There are special discounts to enter for the ladies!

Just past the village store on Railway parade, turn left onto Forest road. Follow this for 4km until you reach the clearing with trailhead map, toilet and concrete slab.

Fire trail and single trail on ridge is green. Didn't ride rim trail but expect it would be amber / wet

Manly Dam update for 09 Feb
Manly Dam is in a reasonable condition. There are a few damp or muddy sections.

Watch out for the plague of rabbits.

Bantry Bay update for 09 Feb
All trails in Bantry Bay are in reasonable condition.
Serrata trail is wet at the top but otherwise dry or damp. Gahnia Fire trail section is dry with a couple of large puddles. No closed areas per National Parks website. http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/visit-a-park...
Mistress is muddy in sections. Daisy Duke is dry. Possums and Keven Costner are mostly dry, with a couple of damp and muddy sections.
Watch out for the plague of rabbits.

OMV Closure & Northconnex - an Update
As many of you know, the hugely popular track at Hornsby will need to be closed off shortly as the Northconnex project requires passage for vehicles to the Quarry. Understandably, there has been a great outcry about this with pleas to save the track.
After this liaison, here is the latest update, emailed to SNORC members:

So what new trails are in store for Hornsby Shire for 2016?
Nowra trail conditions?
I'm heading down near Nowra for a few days on personal business and am thinking to take the bike. The question is which bike - roadie or XC.
What are the trail conditions like down that way at the moment? Rideable or muddy?
Am hoping a local can give me a heads up.
