Lane Cove National Park update for 02 Feb
Just damn miserable. M2 exit just down from day rd is swampy and washed out in the tight pinch section. Otherwise just wet and boggy from day rd towards whale rock. It's going to take a while to dry out me thinks.

2016 AMB 100
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Uriarra Road, just up from the Uriarra Road/Coppins Crossing Road turnoff.
Surprised this is not on the calendar.
Anyone planning on doing this ride? I'll hopefully be there to kick off the racing year with the 5 lap option. Will be keeping an eye on the weather though, still scarred from the high 30's of a few years ago.
I will probably camp and can offer a lift (sharing petrol) to someone leaving Saturday evening. If you want a lift back though you'll need to be patient....
Council Amalgamations
Due to the users endless source of knowledge I have a question concerning the changes among the council system and if they will affect the development of the trails around Bantry Bay and Manly Dam?
If so will these changes be for better or worse or does anybody even know what is happening?

XC track is mostly good, however, there are a few pretty muddy sections e.g. graveyard.

not intended as irony but...
Due to 50+ mm of rain in the area in the last two days I am out on my mtb riding on the road ( for which neither the bike nor rider is particularly suited,) when I notice six cars parked close to the start of the local "secret" track.
I take a squizzy and sure enough they've ridden into the trail, including an instructor from Sydney bike skills.
Now I don't mind riding in the wet and I am definitely not arrogant enough to tell people not to ride in the wet "cause they'll damage their drive chain etc.
Old Man's Valley update for 30 Jan
Was there on yesterday (Friday) afternoon, and bailed as it was wet in many places after the massive downpour. I'd assume it's a bit better now but would advise caution, particularly on the Lava Flow.

North Turramurra update for 30 Jan
Quite wet in places, such as near the Grosvenor St end, but the rest is okay in comparison to many other tracks in the region.

Terrey Hills update for 30 Jan
Wet, wet, wet. The St Ives ST is a lake, as is the Perimeter Track, so bailed on the Long Track (so assume it's much the same) and rode back via the road. I'd stay away for the next week.

Looking for a medium 29" carbon hardtail to turn into a commuter.

STOLEN - 2008 Specialized Stumpjumper Elite
Hi All,
Returned from a holiday to find my bike nicked between the dates 14/12/2015 - 15/01/2016.
Stolen from a storage cage inside a 'secure' garage in Rosebery, NSW.
The bike (see picture) has a Thomson stem and seat post with a Gobi XM saddle.
Police have said there have been numerous break-ins to storage cages in the area.
If anyone sees it out and about please let me know.
