Lap of the lake

Jamison Park, Narrabeen. The park with the boat ramp at the end of Mactier St.
A nice Sunday morning lap of Narrabeen Lake with a bit of Red Hill thrown in. The Red Hill section of this ride while not " D/H " is a bit on the technical side of things, a few steep rock sections and a few step ups/ downs. The rest is mostly dirt path with a bit of bitumen, about 50/50. Oh and the Red Hill section is a bit on the technical side

Report on my first "race"
Drove down Fri afternoon hoping to get a bit of time to go for a ride. Left home about 12pm, it started spitting about Campbelltown then got heavier and heavier. Driving into Canberra was down to about 80-90 in the 110 zone because it was so heavy.
Drove straight up to Mt Stromlo and it was not as heavy, but it obviously had been. Scrapped the ride but waited until 6pm and registered.
Off to hotel, have dinner, watch tele, crash.

after drinking rather a lot of beer on saturday i didn't know how i'd cope doing a xc race on sunday morning but i turned up anyway just to have a crack at it and if anything, it would be a good training ride.
IMPORTANT - Trail access at Sparrow Hill during logging operations.
Canberrans will either read this on The Berm or CORC websites, but if you're coming to the ACT to ride Sparrow Hill, maybe pre the MONT, please at least read this first:

Trails are pretty dry conditions now, but some of the Creek crossings have collapsed (Devlin's) with all the recent rain, so take care when crossing.
Do you have more information?
If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

A ride at Parramata Lake
On tuesday i have to go to Parramata, I have something to do in the morning but after that i would like to go for a ride. I am not too fussy about the time. Anyone interested?
