Partial Win for Down Hill Single Tracks at Old Bathurst Road, Blue Mountains
The Door has been opened, but nothing is offical yet. Check here and read the reports.

ourimbah training ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
would like to ride two laps of the ccomtb course, with the possibilty of maybe stopping and re-riding a couple of sections i.e the drop off,and cornering in the sand pits, just to help with my racing, i only ride d grade so will not be a massively hectic pace.
cheers

Hot Lap Mont 24hr: Who will come up with the fastest offical time?

Dirtworks- can you ride the course before the race?
In preparation for the Dirtworks event in May I am doing regular training.
My question is- Are you able to ride the course prior to the race? I know some is over private land....trying to ride namely the great big mongrel of a Hill at about the 10km mark I was hoping to be able to do.
Cheers
Tom

Sunnies cam anyone?
Forget that helmet cam you were eyeing up... here's a pair of sunnies with video recorder built right in:
Luckily they have interchangable lenses but still look a little... erm... odd.
Cameras like this need an 'always recording' feature and a button you press to save the last... erm... 60 seconds or so, so you can start your recording after an 'incident'. If you know what I mean?
OK, so only SD for now and clearly a bit limited, but I like the way this tech is going

Night exploration of Lidsdale
Tuesday 9/3/2010
OK here are the plots of our ride last night.
We got a little lost looking for the first section of Single Trail and had a bit of a bush walk. Glenn has since been banned from leading any ride ever again.... But it's all good and part of the adventure that is MTBing and besides it found us new bits to ride.
The Squiggles (I did a quick lap of this to map it, before we started the main ride)

The Grove: rebuilt and now open
Today's Manly Daily (pulped trees version) has a story saying "The Grove" at Seaforth has been professionally rebuilt and is now open for riding. No electronic version is available as far as I can see.
Last November there was a story here which announced the work was going to happen.
