My resting heart rate.

This is the real reason i rode around manly for hours on sunday. No DNF voices in my head. No ' close to home if i fall apart ' and not practicing my race face. Just so i can get fitter, feel better and have a better quality of life. Riding is awesome and i love it!

CRC Order

Anyone planning on doing a CRC order as I destroyed my tyre on my road bike last weekend and I can't find a LBS with a replacement. I am looking at getting 2 Continental Ultra Gator Skin Tyre 700 x 25c Folding - Black/DuraSkin. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?M...

Selling Frame - Worth a freshen up?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hey All,

My current frame (Heckler) is too small for me. I need to get a larger one so this one has to go....Unfortunately I can’t shell out and buy another one without selling this one first.

Being an ’04 model it has its fair share of scrapes and cable rub marks however the frame is sound and has no cracks or dents. I will replace the pivot bearings and include my DHX5 Coil shock and DT Swiss air shock in the sale.

When:
Sunday, 31 January, 2010 - 06:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Terrey Hills / Duffys Forest
Meeting Point:

Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

This is social but pace will be moderate. I haven't ridden for a few weeks so will be quite unfit, but I'd like to try to get two laps in within the 2 hours I've alotted. However, I have a hard deadline to complete the ride by 08:30.

If I don't get to the start of the second lap within the hour, I'll probably swing over to Perimiter and do a partial out-and-back to use up the remaining time.

Newbie going Clipless - SPD with platform or not ?

Hi All,

Thought I would try using SPD pedals rather than platforms (have too many scars due to slipoffs etc) and wondered whether I should go for SPDs with cage/platform or not ? Havent used clipless before.

Mainly ride Manly Dam.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Doug

Mid week Menai ride

When:
Wednesday, 3 February, 2010 - 19:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Menai (Lucas Heights)
Meeting Point:

OPPOSITE THE ENTRANCE TO ANSTO ON THE NEW ILLAWARRA ROAD, LUCAS HEIGHTS.

You know this ride by now. A bit technical in places, a few pinch climbs here and there and some good flowing sniggle.

Not the ride for a beginner as it can be tricky in places, good lights will be needed and body armour is advised.

See you there.

Chris

PLEASE NOTE: I'M STARTING FROM A DIFFERENT LOCATION. WE'LL BE MEETING OPPOSITE THE ENTRANCE TO ANSTO ON THE NEW ILLAWARRA ROAD. PLEASE CALL IF YOU NEED DIRECTIONS.

Andos condition for long ride

Hi Team

Has anyone seen or ridden Andos in the last week or two. I know there was tree clearing but I'm hoping it will be open again for an Oaks and Andos up and down epic this weekend. Someone posted that the trail was totally cut up and soft. Any ideas if it will be rideable or worth the effort?

Thanks
Sly
