Link Road bushland
Does anyone here have any maps of the bushland adjacent to the Newcastle link road, on the left heading out of Newy? Went for a sweet ride through there today, there's obviously a lot of moto and 4WD stuff but there's plenty of fun to be had on the motorless bike!
Is there much on the Wallsend side of the link road? Looking on Google maps, theres a ton of space over there. Better put my explorer hat on again..
Garmin 810 help needed
Hey guys,
I have just bought a Garmin 810 because I have the inbuilt navigation skills of a beached whale .
Can anyone point me in the right direction to be able to add MTB trails around NSW and SA that i can add to the Garmin. What websites are good for adding these files ?
Does it actually work ?
Should i just find friends out there ?
Any assistance will be appreciated

I agree with all these points, but for me the cost ($100-$150 per race, plus the extras in petrol/ food/ broken bikes) was getting too much to enter every race and now I just pick and choose. Joining the events and having a race series like they had a few back I think is the key to getting the 100km XC races back on track.

4Km SW of Wingello village on Caoura Rd there's a small base camp within the forest - seems as good a place as any.
Roll up, Roll up, Roll up! Bring bikes, bring the family to the Big Top on 25-26 July. See wild trails tamed, be charmed by the snaking singletrack, watch OTB acrobatics and riders juggling speed and stamina.…………Fairy floss will flow, handlebars may be swallowed.
The 3 Ring Circus is coming to town………

Quick point form review;
- Different track to last year with the removal of all but the start fireroad and primarily single track.
- Passing through the single track was fairly tough but after the rain the previous night, the track was quite grippy.
- The nature of the track suited a more skilled rider, rather than a powerhouse.
- The last run into transition was super fun.
- I didn't stack it this year.
- Hooked up with 3 blokes I'd never raced with before.
- We came 3rd in cat and overall.
- I got soaked in my swag from the rain that started after the race.
- Good times.
Terrey Hills update for 13 Jul
Tree down on Perimeter, about 50m east of the concrete spill way. Take the fence-line sniggle you want to miss it.
Otherwise Perim and Long in fair nick with a few puddles.
