Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail update for 01 Mar
Rode it thus arvo as the rain stopped. Holy crap it was wet! The first 400m I was an actual river! At the 3km mark there was even a spring popping up in the middle of the trail, ejecting an enviable amount of water. Across the top sandy trail was a lake. Otherwise, it's still a fire trail.
Amber only due to large volumes of flowing and standing water.

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 28 Feb
As of midday Friday there was water running down the tracks. So unless we have NO further rain between then and Sat/Sun, then I would give Yellomundee a miss please.

Buying a new bike - my bizarre experience
After a long period of procrastination over brands, specs and weight it was finally time to strike and procure the steed for this season.
First stop was a shop in Manly - courteous but no 2014 small frames in stock and none would come in either. How strange is that? It is february 2014 with another 10 months to go and its sold out?
Second stop was a shop in North Sydney that sells Merida as the Big Ninety Nine 3000 D was on the list. I've seen online that the 2013 model was around so I asked them if there were any 2013 small frame available.
