Terrey Hills update for 04 Jan
Rode Perimeter & Long today. Pretty warm but still a couple of spots of standing water in the usual places.
Rest of the track is getting really sandy and loose though. Pinch on Long Track has zero grip - unless you're in the fire truck that was there!

What is everyone doing for nutrition on long rides...besides bananas!I've been using Swisse carb bar which worked well for me on the convict last year. Now it looks like they've discontinued this bar which is a real pity. My understanding is that it's mostly Carbs that need replacing besides the salts. So what are you using and what would you recommend?

Wanted: Maxxis Crossmark or Ikon tyre wanted
Looking for a 26 X 2.1 (or 2.25) Maxxis Crossmark or Ikon tyre. Must be new or in very good condition. Schwalbe Racing Ralph will also do. Obviously price is negotiable.
I'm sure there are some of you who still have some spare 26inch tyres sitting around at home gathering dust whilst you are out riding on your 29ers.

Yellomundee Track Maintenance
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
WSMTB is holding a Track Maintenance morning at Yellomundee Regional Park, 8.30am Saturday 11 Jan 2014. ALL WELCOME. Please bring line trimmers, cutters, shovels, wheelbarrow, and a ute or two. For safety wear long trousers, boots, hat, etc.
BBQ lunch provided by WSMTB.
We need to trim back grass edges, carry out general repairs, and progress the sustainability upgrades to the track. The entrance ramp to Max's Bridge will be replaced.
Keep an eye on the WSMTB FB page for any last minute updates.
Lane Cove National Park update for 03 Jan
Rode through from De Burgh's bridge to the top of Devlins and back today and no problems to report. The tree across the Lucinda Ave water bar has been cleared.
