Terrey Hills update for 04 Nov
Heaps of people out today probably having a look at the burn off. Trail is good but a few long sandy drifts that the fire trucks have churned up. the big pinch at the end of long is just a carved up mess. Most is good so probably some good times for out and back.

Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail update for 04 Nov
I thought the light rain would have settled the sand, but there are many sandy bits to be navigated. Lots of little rocks on both Duck Holes and Centre track, but nothing major. Overall pretty good. Nice day with early fog, light mist rain and then lotsa sun.

Cascades update for 04 Nov
Light rain has settled the dust, but the big sand drift next to Bare creek is still there and will catch the unwary. Track is in very good condition. There is still a bog on the single track at St Ives which is a bit tricky to get thru.

Red Hill accident?
It's 10.10 and a chopper has just landed on the rocks at Red Hill near the sports academy.
If you know anyone riding up here, you might want to call and check on them.

Chainring size upgrade 44t > 48t
My commuter hardtail is need of new chain rings, so i was thinking about swapping out the 44t to something bigger like a 46 or even a 48. Has anyone sucessfully done this and if so what (if any) issues* do I need to beware of?
Cheers
Phil
