Wildflower Garden update for 25 Aug
Rode down Management track east today and back along the Mona Vale sniggle. There are at least 12 big trees down on Management track east from the wind on Thursday. It's a nightmare to get through to the showground. I would avoid it if possible to save wearing extra tracks in trying to get around.

Lost: Bottle of tools at Manly Dam Wednesday Night
Interesting the conversation going on at the moment about Camelbak and equivalents.......
I've been trying to ride without a camelbak lately, and testing bike setup in preparation for a getting a frame bag. In order to centralise the weight I had all my tools, gu etc stored in a water bottle in the under down tube cage.
I just discovered the bottle is missing & assume it has fallen off somewhere round the dam.
It's a white and black Nike brand 500 ml bottle
If anyone picks it up I'll be ever so pleased if I can get it back... 0413 233 244.

Some trees down, lots of big branches and sticks etc. Nearly busted my rear der. Must have been quite windy up there.

Check out HMBA website. Car boot sale from 8-9am. Racing starts at 9.30.

Notification of proposed Hazard Reduction Burn in Royal National Park-Loftus Trails 8/9 September
Just an update on the proposed burn in Royal National Park. It did not proceed last weekend due to high winds but is currently being proposed for this weekend the 8th and 9th September.
NPWS are planning a large Hazard Reduction burn for the Temptation Creek area of the Royal National Park (including the single-track areas accessed from Loftus Oval). At the moment the planned date is Saturday 1st September to Monday 3rd September. It’s likely the trails will be closed for a while after that as well until they can be assessed as safe for the public to enter.

Just wondering if anyone is up for a lap of Manly Dam this Sunday.
I have another demo bike i will taking for a spin and wouldnt mind some company on what will probably be my last lap of the dam before i move house
